Clara is not afraid of much but there is one thing that paralizes her - FLUFF. Yup, plain ole' every day toe jam freaks her out. She can't stand the stuff. If she spots a random fluff floating in the bathtub she stands up shrieking like she's just seen a mouse swim by! This fear is funny but it is also slowly driving me insane. This morning she took off her socks and discovered the offending fluffs residing between her toes and literally started jumping up and down pleading me to “take them away”. Once her toes were safe again she needed to ensure Leo was not contaminated too... but alas he was also harboring the nasty little fluff enemies. By 9:00am this morning I am able to report that I cleaned the space between 20 toes and none of them were my own...

Easter started out great but, ended in a less then stellar fashion. On Saturday we enjoyed the company of Mariella and Anissa and their parents for brunch. The girls played really well together, well basically Mariella and Anissa let Clara talk their ears off!

On Sunday Patricia chauffeured us to Bromont where we enjoyed a delicious Easter feast but all day poor Clara was in quite a bit of discomfort. She showed signs of a UTI without a fever. She was pathetic in a funny way... poor girl had to pee but it hurt so every time she felt the urge she'd start dancing around chanting "pee pee, pee pee" in a musical kind of way. When we got home in the evening it was obvious she needed medication so Papa took our brave girl to the emergency room at midnight. Marc tells me Clara was the perfect patient. She even managed to give a urine sample (with the help of a juice box). The got home at 3:30 am and with just her first dose of medication she was markedly better in the morning.

Today you wouldn't know Clara had been sick at all - the wonders of modern medicine. Antibiotics really do have their place when used responsibly!

The games that we play

Today I was privileged to be present for the inception of a new game in our home, much like “petit bebe”, “yes – no” and “stinky feet” “GodzilLeo” is destined to become a Gagnon favorite. The premise of GodzilLeo is simple, Papa gives Leo various superheros such as Mr Incredible and Spiderman and Leo chews on them spreading his toxic drool as Papa so lovingly calls it. While this is going on Clara frantically searches for other toys to save the superheros. Zebra seemed to be the toy most up to the task today. The game went on until GodzilLeo got too cold as a result of too much toxic drool on his bare belly.
