Tour de L'ile 2015

First member of the family to participate!  For years we lived pretty much at the starting point of the Tour de l'Ile, but this is the year Clara decides she must do it.  We got my bike and Clara across town to the starting point in time to tag along with Jojo and family. They ended up biking 28 km in about 2 hours!

Clara was not pleased with most of her times this past weekend but, how can you not be impressed by the effort?!?  It was a tough realization that you won't always post personal bests at competitions. Though, she's a stubborn one and I don't doubt she's concocting plans to somehow get faster.  In fact, she did mention she wanted to start doing "musculation" at home just last night.

Marc's party involved a whole lot of bourbon and delicious Southern BBQ snacks (Ann Marie's concoctions)  The party was not a surprise but the guests and theme were.  Clara baked her famous chocolate quinoa cake and helped by making some fantastic party decorations.

Up at 6am both Saturday and Sunday to get Clara to her first AA swim meet.  Home by 2pm both days BUT upon arrival home today, Marc discovered that our swimmer had made it to the finals of the 50m backstroke so.... back to the pool for 4pm warm up and home now... 8pm.  Long but very wonderful day.  Clara put down 3 more personal bests and even swam her final half a second faster than she'd swum it in preliminaries!  We are so impressed.
